ARE YOU READY FOR THE NEW YEAR ???

You are looking at this article and saying ready for WHAT? Let us take a look at you and most people.  The majority of people everywhere have a routine that goes on week after week only changed by a holiday or maybe that week for vacation.    Life just keeps going on and before we know it, another year has gone by.  The only way that most people remember a date from last year is if someone died, had a medical problem, or perish the thought you were in a accident.  It would seem that a lot of people are on cruise control.  They set up their life and just like when driving they will come close to an accident before they will disengage the cruise control before paying attention to the traffic.  No one likes change.  Can you depend on family or friends to help you if you have a problem?  Better yet are you prepared to help friends or relatives if they have a problem?  Do you actually think that a stranger is going out of his or her way if it not their job?   Do you have any skills to help them with?
When you get into that accident, the first thing you think about is “do I have insurance and is it up to date”.  Having friends and family with skill is a lot like having insurance.  It will give you many more options than just hiding in the closet hoping that the problem or occurrence will just go away.  Everyone thinks it could never happen to me, but it does.  Every New Year seems to bring more and more news of weather problems, earthquakes, fires, bombs, and of course mob violence.  All of the people they you are feeling sorry for on the news could be YOU in the New Year.
Why not make a resolution this year to learn a new skill?  Make it easy on yourself and make it something you already like.  The only question you must ask yourself is will that skill help me, my friends, and family survive in the future?  The story ends with:  The Lord Gave You Two Ends Heads You Win Tales You Lose.  Where Are You Going To Go ???
