Are you a
farmer or do you known a farmer who has Grain Bins on their property that they
are not using. Why don’t you develop another
revenue stream? There is a large group
of our population that could utilize a Haven in the rural constructed inside a
Grain Bin (survivalist, preppers, and concerned citizens). A number of farmers have the benefit of
having some land that is forested which can be leased to deer and hog
hunters. A large number of these lucky
farmers can garner up to $1,000 plus depending on the amount of land that they
are able to lease. Other farmers have
wind generators on their property which they collect upwards of $6,000 plus per
year (financed in part by government) depending on location and how much land that they take
out of production.
Why all this
interest in Grain Bins? My idea from the
beginning was to recycle everything to construct a Haven. The use of Grain Bins in combination with
used Cargo Containers makes perfect use of materials that are now just rusting
in farm fields and shipping depots. Let
us take Cargo Containers first and talk about them. The size of these small Containers is 8’ wide
by 20, which are 7’ high. The larger
containers are 8’ wide by 40’ long and 7’ or 9’ 6” tall. I have used the larger Containers (8’ W X 40’
L X 9’6” T) as they work well for apartments, storage facilities, animal pens,
and work areas. They can be purchased for around $3,000 delivered to your
site. We are talking about a 320 square
foot waterproof, EMF (Electro Motive Force) resistant, well constructed building
block. I like to bury the Cargo
Containers completely below ground near Grain Bins and use the Grain Bins for
access to the Cargo Containers below. You
just think how many Grain Bins are not being used for one reason or another all
over the world. The future will bring
the plans, detailed drawings, and site selection for your own Haven. Farmers it now time to start cultivating the
