Why do we want a Haven in the first
place? I will tell you why personally. The problem that we have as humans is
that we are fragile beings. We do the best that we can on a daily basis. When
it comes down to it what is the most important in life is family and friends. I
want you to think about this scenario. There is an eruption that has spread
volcanic ash all over the area. The ash
is headed your way. On the news it states that there are already people
confirmed hurt and possibly dead. Your first thoughts are of your wife or
husband, children, or friends. Are they okay? How am I going to get in touch
with them? We had no plan of where we would go and meet. How am I going to find
them? I have no plan or no Haven to go to. What are we going to do?

Have a family plan. A family plan is the plan that everyone in the family knows about and what to do in case of an emergency. Basics of a family plan would be as follows: a secure place that each member of the family would know to meet at, a form of communication that would still be viable even if there was no power, cash money, food, water, batteries, radio, a way to start a fire, a backpack, and a mode of transportation (wagon, bike, car, or truck)
These are just a few things that would be recommended from for a family plan. You will actually be able to get a checklist that would give you answers to your questions for your family's plan. If you do not care about the future think about your family and friends.
The end may be near and you do not have
a clue. Do you think that someone will
stop by looking to help you? Get a life
and think about the last time you had a flat tire or the car broke down. People were not standing in line to help
you. If you did not have a cell phone
you were probably walking to a building in order to use a phone so you could
get help. Just add all the members of
the community and see how fast you will be helped. Where Are You Going To Go???
